The first step in the build process began with the stand.
I started out by using the pdf over on
Rebrickable
which I do NOT recommend you use. I don't know what's up with that
pdf but it seriously lags and crashes my Mac and freezes up the Windows
box too. There's just something weird with that document. The file
size is massive. I printed it at work and it took thirty minutes just
to flatten it.
I started off using the paper print out but then I hit some snags
where I really needed to see it in color and with more detail so I
tried out the pdf on a computer again. It just made my computers
run like garbage. So then I looked at the lxf that's out and that
has you building the stand in such a weird way I gave up very quickly.
Fortunately I
found a better way
to view the original instructions over at Bricksafe. Viewing them through
a browser was a way better experience.
My only advice is take your time and look carefully at what you're doing
as some steps seemed confusing to me. It's like playing where's Waldo with
bricks trying to figure out what you need to do at times. It's very easy
to mess up and build something that will have you tear it apart to
trouble shoot the problem.
Thank you Michael for such an awesome stand! Without you I would never
have purchased this kit. It just takes up too much space storing it on
the landing gear. Although I'm sure you wouldn't be happy knowing that
both my stand and the Millennium Falcon are Lepin products.
